Replacing tiled roof on bungalow

The tiles on this roof had begun to let water through to the membrane and battening below with the result that the roof timbers were begining to rot.  Superficial, largely cosmetic repairs carried out by other contractors on a previous occasion had only delayed the inevitable - a complete re-roof was necessary.

Thouroughly strip out the old components

New sarking membrane and battens

Improve construction of valley where roof lines intersect

New roof complete

Our survey revealed the old roof timbers were rotted in many places.   There was even a huge abandoned wasps nest.  Prolongued insect infestation can call real damage to roof timbers.
