More snow and gales

The Met Office have issued more warnings of gales and snow - not surprisingly - it is, after all, now mid-winter.

The BBC is reporting over two inches might fall in the Conwy, Denbigh and Wrexham areas.

North Wales Police have warned snow was affecting driving conditions on the A470 between Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog.

The winter freeze

With the shortest day just passed the full brunt of the January and February winter weather is still ahead of us.  If we are lucky we will begin to see some more warm weather in April.

So now is exactly the time to consider whether you have sufficient thermal insulation in your roof.  Many houses still have only the minimum thickness of four inches as laid down in the regulations back in the 1980s.

Adding another four inches over the top will dramatically reduce heat losss, keep you warmer and further reduce your heatin bill - not just now but for every forthcoming winter.

Mineral fibre is the cheapest way of obtaining the maximum heat insulation.  Speak to us about what is involved and how little it will cost.
