Choose your roofing contractor with care

With roofs it is often a case of "out of site, out of mind".  The trouble is when a roofer comes along he says he can fix your roof - maybe at a good cheap price - you don't know what you are getting.  You can't go on the roof yourself and inspect the work.

The pictures below show one such incident.  A local roofer offered to install a new roof on a property in Llandudno Junction but as the work progressed the householder became suspicious of the quality of the work.

Via FAIR TRADES they contacted us to take over the work and DO IT PROPERLY.

Work included re-fixing slates, new mechanically fixed ridge tiles, new leadwork, new rainwater goods.

The Hurricane season begins

Across the Atlantic the 2018 hurricane season is in full swing with widespread devastation across Florida and South Carolina.

Hurricane Michael has left 11 people dead and wiped one town off the map completely.

Luckily, in this country things are not so bad but with the autumn equinox approaching so, too, is the UK storm season.  This week storm Callum has wreaked havoc all along the west coast.

If you have any concerns about your roof now is the time to have it checked: loose mortar, a persistent rattle?  Have the repair carried out now while it is still a small one.
